Transmission
gears are also known as manual
gearbox or standard transmission provides
conversion from a rotating power source
to another device using gears ratio in a
motor vehicle machine. It is the base equipment
in a car. The term gearbox includes gearbox,
clutch, prop shaft , differential and final
drive shafts. The transmission gears
has the ability to switch between the multiple
gears ratio as the speed varies.
Planetary Gears Sets, Hydraulic System,
Torque Converter, Computer are the main
transmission gears part
that needs to work together. Planetary Gears
shift the transmission gears,
actually moving the gears in a linear manner.
The ring gear brings power from the engine
by connected to the input shaft. The planet
gears are connected to the output shaft
which carries power to the drive train and
wheels. It is also connected to a clutch
pack. The sun gear is connected to a drum,
which is connected to the other half of
the clutch pack.
Hydraulic System puts the transmission
clutch pack at the right time. The main
purpose of this system is to help in control
transmission gears shifting,
to lubricate the transmission parts, and
to keep the transmission cool.
The torque converter in an automatic
transmission gears. It allows the
engine to continue running when the vehicle
is stopped. Torque is a force that causes
rotation.
Due to vast technology computer controls
the transmission functions of car. It controls
the speed, engine temperature, engine speed,
etc.
There are basically two types of transmission
gears called manual and automatic
transmission gears. A manual
transmission gears is simple,
lighter and offer better fuel economy. They
are mechanically simpler and lower repair
cost. It allows fast shifting of gears.
An automatic transmission gears
is one in which gear automatically
change as the vehicle moves, freeing the
driver from having to shift gears manually.
